What happened

At a May 2026 special meeting the board changed its class-rank policy, EIC(LOCAL), so that dual-credit and other courses without a final grade are left out of the calculation for graduation walking order. In July it revised the policy again for honors grades. The superintendent said the change did not alter this year's top rankings.

Why it matters to families

Class rank affects graduation honors, scholarships and college admission. Families of students taking dual-credit or honors courses should know how those grades will count.

The evidence
