What happened

On August 26, 2026 the board considered a resolution placing a $10.1 million mill levy override on the November 3 ballot, starting in 2027 tax collection. The ballot language lists keeping and attracting teachers and staff with competitive pay, stronger reading, writing and math, restoring art, music and PE, and keeping mental health staff. Chalkbeat reported on November 5 that Eagle County's measure passed; the November 11 agenda says results are reported and certification is pending.

Why it matters to families

It is the district's biggest new local funding in years and would pay for raises and classroom programs. Officially certified results were not in the collected record.

The evidence

August 26 agenda item on Resolution 2026/27-3 calling the election and the ballot issue; November 11 work session item 2.2 on implementation planning. Passage is from press reporting (Chalkbeat, Nov. 5, 2026), not a collected district record.
