Enrollment is 3.6% below last year and under budget

What happened

The November 11, 2026 agenda reports K-12 enrollment of 5,593 students as of November 2, which is 82 (1.4%) below budget and 206 (3.6%) below October 2025. The funded pupil count is 27 below budget, cutting expected state Total Program funding by about $255,000. Figures are preliminary until the state's October count.

Why it matters to families

Colorado pays districts per student, so fewer students means less money and can affect staffing and programs.
