Board approves a new soccer program
What happened
On September 3, 2026 the board voted 4-0 to approve a soccer program. 51 students signed up with interest. Start-up costs were estimated at about ,250 to 4,620, not counting coaches, buses or referees. The October 12 personnel report proposed hiring boys and girls soccer coaches.

This is a new sport for students, but leaders raised concerns about player eligibility, transportation and cost.
