What happened

The district's funded pupil count, the number the state uses to pay for schools, falls from 508.6 in 2022-23 to a projected 383.3 in 2026-27. Total program funding is projected flat at $6,429,493 in both 2025-26 and 2026-27 because the district is held at its 2024-25 level.

Why it matters to families

Fewer funded students with flat state money means costs like salaries and insurance rise against the same revenue, which puts pressure on staffing and programs.

The evidence

The packet, provided to the board with the February 9 business report, lists FPC of 508.6, 470.3, 452.2, 418.6 and 383.3 for 2022-23 to 2026-27. Enrollment reports to the board show about 322 students in February and 323 in May 2026.
