Board signs three-year business services contract with Vertex ($90,000 a year)

What happened

On May 11, 2026 the board approved a three-year contract with K12/Vertex for the district's accounting and business office, option 3 at $90,000 a year. One-year ($110,000 a year) and two-year ($100,000 a year) options were also offered. In March, motions to end the Vertex contract and post a finance director job died for lack of a motion.

Why it matters to families

Business office services handle payroll, budgets and the audit. The three-year term sets this cost through 2029 and decides whether the district builds its own finance staff.
