Board ends superintendent's contract by mutual agreement
What happened
On June 18, 2026 the board voted 7-0 to end Superintendent Robert Howard's contract by mutual agreement. The vote came after executive sessions on the contract and on a recall election. The board had also met privately about his performance in February and April.
