Budget shows deficit spending for three years

What happened

The 2025-26 adopted budget projects $2.26 million in revenue and $2.37 million in spending, a $107,219 deficit, with smaller deficits projected in 2026-27 and 2027-28. The district's fund balance is projected to fall from $839,856 to $627,183 by 2027-28, still above the state-required reserve.

Why it matters to families

Spending more than it takes in each year slowly draws down the district's savings. Salaries and benefits are 74% of the budget, and enrollment is about 160 students, so small changes in enrollment move the numbers.
