New mental health and suicide prevention policies
What happened
The Oct. 13, 2026 agenda asks the board to adopt BP 5141.5 on student mental health and BP/AR 5141.52 on suicide prevention. Earlier this year the board took up policies on immigration enforcement (Feb.), child abuse reporting and student phones (June).
Why it matters to families
These policies set what staff must do when a student shows signs of distress, and what families can expect from the school.
