District news
New alternative school, TRACK, planned for 2027-28
What happened
The board named a new grades 7-12 alternative program the Table Rock Achievement Center (TRACK). It will move into the current central office space at the high school after a new central office is built, and is planned to open for the 2027-28 school year. Staff expect about 35-40 students, and nearby districts could send students too.
Why it matters to families
Students who struggle in regular classes, or who face long suspensions, would learn on the high school campus instead of being sent home. The superintendent called it one of the district's top priorities.
