District news
High school heating and cooling system is failing

What happened
The superintendent said the high school's original HVAC system leaks about 500 gallons of water a day and recently left the building without air for a couple of hours. Fixing it is estimated at $3.5 million to $5 million, which the district expects to pay for with a future bond.
Why it matters to families
A breakdown could disrupt classes. A bond would need voter approval, so families may be asked to vote on it later.
