District introduces AI guidelines for teachers; no board AI policy
What happened
In June 2026 the Technology Committee presented new AI guidelines for staff who choose to use AI in class, to take effect in 2026-27, and a Digital Wellness Committee is reviewing AI and screen time. The guidelines were not posted, and the board policy manual has no AI policy.
Why it matters to families
Families cannot yet see the rules for how AI is used with students or with student data.
