Sheridan High graduation moves to Friday for 2027-2029
What happened
On May 4, 2026, the board voted 6 to 2 to hold Sheridan High School graduation for the classes of 2027, 2028 and 2029 on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend at 4:00 p.m., not on Sunday. Trustees Rambur and Perkins voted no, saying a Friday date is hard for families who travel. In the district's survey, 63.5% of 479 parents preferred Friday.
