What happened

Sheridan County School District #2 says K–12 services through Wyoming’s Education Savings Account program are paused until the Odyssey software works with district needs and can be managed efficiently. Pre-K ESA services continue, and one family has already used them.

Why it matters to families

Families hoping to use ESA funds for district K–12 courses cannot access those services during the pause, while Pre-K participation remains available.

The evidence

In her October 5 superintendent’s report, Rebecca Adsit said the district had set up ESA for all its Pre-K programs and a family had used it, but K–12 ESA services would be paused because of the complexity of setting up courses in Odyssey. She said there had been only a few inquiries.
