Emergency policy lets district offer courses through Wyoming's ESA program

What happened
On August 3, 2026, the board used its emergency process to adopt a merged policy IHBG (Home-Based and Other Educational Programs) on first reading and delete IHBG-P. The change lets the district register as a vendor in Wyoming's Education Savings Account (ESA) program for Pre-K and K-12 courses, after a court injunction on the program was lifted. The policy will still go through full review this school year.
Why it matters to families
Homeschool and ESA families may now be able to use their ESA accounts to pay for district courses and programs.
