What happened

On August 24, 2026, the board adopted resolutions for a new general obligation bond of up to $15.7 million, to be sold in 2027. The money would pay for HVAC (heating and air) work, site improvements, equipment and technology. The bond could raise the debt tax rate by up to about 22 cents per $100 of property value. The district expects the net rise to be about 17.6 cents because older debts are being paid off. The same night, the board also approved about $55 million in 2026 building-corporation bonds for the construction program.

Why it matters to families

Bonds are paid back with property taxes over many years, so this affects local taxpayers and decides which building repairs get done.

The evidence

In the August 24, 2026 recording, board members read the project, preliminary-determination and bond resolutions aloud with these amounts and tax-rate figures, then vote to approve them.
