Board adopts school lunch policy

Day-to-day

What happened

On June 23, 2026 the board adopted a School Lunch and Nutrition Policy. The school does not take part in the federal school lunch or breakfast programs. Lunch is optional and comes from an outside vendor. With no cafeteria, students eat in classrooms, other indoor spaces, or outside when allowed.

Why it matters to families

Families now have written rules for lunch. Because the school is outside the federal lunch program, there are no federally funded free or reduced-price meals there, and the school does not promise allergen-free meals beyond what the law requires.

The evidence

The June 23, 2026 minutes record the motion to pass the school lunch policy, with all in favor. The policy text is in the June 23 board packet.
