Online behavior outside school can bring students before the board

High-risk

What happened

The revised conduct policy adopted June 16, 2026 covers inappropriate online behavior toward staff, students or parents, during or outside school hours. A student found to have done this must meet with the board along with their parents.

Why it matters to families

This extends school discipline to off-campus social media. The policy also says students won't be disciplined for declining to use someone's preferred pronouns.
