Board starts looking for developers for the 19.93-acre Hope School site
What happened
On January 15, 2026 the board adopted Resolution 2025/26-B-09 authorising staff to prepare a request for proposals to redevelop the Hope School site. The district has not chosen a developer or agreed any sale; a study session on the request for qualifications and proposals was scheduled for August 6, 2026.

A 19.93-acre public school property is one of the largest assets the district owns. What replaces the school, and what the district gets for it, is being decided now rather than after a deal is signed.
