What happened

On September 22, 2026 the board approved revisions to local board policy and the superintendent's certification that the district follows Senate Bill 12 (2025), the state law banning diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices in public schools. It also approved TASB policy updates #126 (November 2025) and #127 (June 2026).

Why it matters to families

State law now limits DEI programs, clubs and training in schools. The district says it complies.
