OUSD proposes a three-year expansion of i-Ready learning and assessment tools

What happened
OUSD is proposing an $861,136 contract to continue and expand its use of the i-Ready online platform from October 2026 through October 2029. The district says educators use it to monitor reading progress in grades K–12 and math in grades K–5 and tailor instruction to student needs.
Why it matters to families
The proposal would sustain a districtwide instructional and assessment platform while expanding the centralized purchase to the full i-Ready suite; the board had not yet approved it in this agenda record.
The evidence
The October 28, 2026 board agenda requests approval of a Curriculum Associates agreement not to exceed $861,136.23 for October 20, 2026–October 20, 2029. The memo calls the centralized purchase of the full i-Ready suite a “continuation and expansion” of existing work, noting current use for reading in grades K–12 and math in grades K–5. i-Ready was adopted in 2021; the agenda item is a proposal, not a recorded board decision.
