Dress-code update keeps hats and pajamas allowed

What happened

The board adopted revised Policy 8270. The final neckline rule uses an imaginary horizontal line joining the armpits. A proposed ban on hats, pajamas and slippers failed, so those items remain allowed under the other dress rules.

Students and families need the final rules, which differ from earlier drafts. Hairstyle protections and existing coverage rules still apply.
